Bella is a powerful, leisurely-paced film in which Jose (Eduardo Verastegui) and Nina (Tammy Blanchard) struggle to do what's right while seeking meaning in their lives. A quiet, brooding man with a dark past, Jose works as a chef in his brother Manny's (Manny Perez) restaurant where he mostly keeps to himself until young waitress Nina is fired. Touched by Manny's unfair treatment of Nina, Jose impulsively leaves work to follow Nina and spends a day with her where he discovers that she is pregnant and alone. The two become incredibly close in the space of a day, sharing their pasts, feelings, and fears, and a lasting friendship is born. As Nina struggles with her pregnancy options and Jose comes to terms with a horrific incident from his past, the pair's newfound friendship aids in growth and healing. In the end, Jose and Nina's lives become permanently intertwined in a most beautiful and unexpected way. Bella is a moving, introspective film that will inspire serious personal reflection. --Tami Horiuchi | | | Product Details: | | | Actors:

BellaAug 11, 2008 I thought this movie was awful. I decided to purchase it without seeing it because the reviews were so wonderful. What a waste of money.... the movie was really slow, there was really no plot and it could have been summed up a lot quicker. I have watched alot of movies in my time and this was one of the worst movies I have ever seen. Don't waste your money on this one.
Love and redemptionAug 11, 2008 In the Hollywood sewer that both reflects and leads the cultural decline of the West a tiny perfect rose occasionally emerges from the slime. "Bella" is such a motion picture.
the true loveAug 07, 2008 The film shows the most important things in our life: the true love, and the authentic and effective defense of the life. A wonderful film.
What's the Big Deal?Aug 04, 2008 This is too plain of a movie, and I was disappointed that I purchased it. It is not a bad movie, but I do not see the big hype about it being the best reviewed movie. It is boring.
